President al-Bashir Receives al-Ahmar, says Syria base of Arab Struggle

Khartoum, (SANA)-President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir on Thursday received a delegation of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party headed by its Assistant Secretary General Abdullah al-Ahmar. Al-Ahmar conveyed President Bashar al-Assad's compliments to President al-Bashir and best wishes of prosperity and development to the Sudanese people. In turn, President al-Bashir conveyed al-Ahmar his compliments to President al-Assad and the Syrian people. Talks during the meeting dealt with the Arab situation and the conspiracies fabricated against the Arab Nation, particularly the Zionist continued aggression on Gaza Strip, the situations in Sudan and the conspiracy being hatched against Sudan targeting its national unity and sovereignty. The Sudanese President, for his part, expressed appreciation of Syria's supportive stances to Sudan in the face of pressures, underlining that Syria is the base of Arab struggle and the main supporter of the Arab resistance in the face of occupation. He stressed his country's backing of Syria to liberate the occupied Syrian Golan and return it back to national sovereignty. Al-Ahmar underlined his party's standing by Sudan, saying "the accusations of international criminal court against President al-Bashir target Sudan's unity and national sovereignty. The party's official also discussed in a meeting with Speaker of the Sudanese Parliament Ibrahim al-Taher the parliamentary relations between the two countries, the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian lands, the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the situation in Darfur. Under the motto of "Sudan, a home for all" al-Baath Party, Sudan country, held its third conference in the presence of al-Ahmar and a delegation of the Sudanese National Conference headed the Assistant of President al-Bashir by Dr. Nafe Nafe and the Sudanese President Advisor Mustafa Othman Ismael.
