Damascus, (SANA) - Six members of the military and security forces on Wednesday were laid to rest escorted in a solemn procession from Tishreen Military Hospital after they were targeted on Tuesday by extremist terrorist groups.
The martyrs' bodies were carried on hands, and the military band played the 'Martyr' and the 'Farewell' music.
The martyrs are:
-First Lieutenant Said Khedir al-Ibrahim, born in al-Mou'aa, Hama in 1983. He was single.
-First Lieutenant Anwar Qadri Mayya, born in al-Dana, Idleb in 1984. He left behind a wife and two children.
-Sergeant Major Firzat Suleiman Harfoush, born in Balqsa, Homs in 1976. He left behind a wife and two children.
-Sergeant Major Safwan Hassan, born in al-Raha, Sweida in 1975. He left behind a wife and two children.
-Sergeant Moussa Abdul-Aziz Qaddour al-Suleiman, born in Halfaia, Hama in 1991. He was single.
-Soldier Yahia Omar Haj Omar, born in al-Belermoun, Aleppo in 1991. He was single.
The martyrs were laid to rest in solemn popular and official ceremonies in their respective towns and villages, where they were received by chanting for martyrs and national unity.
In the village of in al-Mou'aa, Hama governorate, mourners bid farewell to First Lieutenant Said Khedir al-Ibrahim, affirming that he was an example of morality, patriotism and responsibility. His father said "I give my son to the country which gave us dignity and pride."
In the town of al-Dana, Idleb governorate, First Lieutenant Anwar Qadri Mayya was laid to rest after his funeral procession traveled through the town's streets. His father said that those who bet against Syria's unity will fail, while his mother voiced pride over her son joining the ranks of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country's freedom and dignity.
Thousands from Aleppo governorate accompanied soldier Yahia Omar Haj Omar to his final resting place in al-Belermoun quarter in Aleppo city, with the mourners calling for bolstering national unity and foiling the plot targeting Syria's security and stability.
The martyr's father called on all Syrians to stand together to defend their countries.
In the town of Halfaia, thousands bid farewell to Sergeant Moussa Abdul-Aziz Qaddour al-Suleiman. His father said that Moussa died while carrying out his duty of defending the safety of the country and its citizens, while the martyr's brother expressed pride and honor that his brother was martyred while defending the country's security and dignity.
The people of the village of Balqsa and neighboring villages in Homs governorate laid Sergeant Major Firzat Suleiman Harfoush to rest in a solemn procession, with the mourners calling for national unity and solidarity and pledging to continue sacrifices for the sake of the country.
The martyr's relatives said they are proud of him, calling for brining the extremist terrorist groups to justice.
Thousands from Sweida governorate accompanied Sergeant Major Safwan Hassan to his final resting place in the town of al-Raha. His father said that Safwan was raised on patriotism and that he was martyred for the sake of country, duty, honor and dignity, while his brother expressed readiness to sacrifice his life for Syria and confronting those who conspire against its security and stability.
The martyr's wife Rana Abu Ghawi expressed pride in her husband's sacrifice, saying that she will raise his children on the noble values of martyrdom and sacrifice for the sake of the country.
The people of al-Hssein village in Deir Ezzor governorate laid policeman Amer Hasan al-Huneit to rest. The martyr's solemn funeral procession traveled from the Deir Ezzor Military Hospital to his hometown.
The martyr's father said that his son's martyrdom is an honor, and that all of Amer's brothers are prepared to sacrifice themselves for their country. Amer was born in 1988, and was single.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, the people of Hasaka governorate laid to rest Corporal Wael Mohammad al-Jreiss, who was martyred in Daraa on Monday while performing his duties. He was born in 1991.
Wael's family expressed pride in his martyrdom, saying that his memory will remain and that he will always remain a role model in sacrifice.

On Tuesday, Fifteen martyrs killed by armed criminal groups were laid to rest escorted in solemn processions from Tishreen Military Hospital in Damascus to their villages and towns in different Syrian provinces
The bodies were held up on hands covered with the Syrian flag while the military band played the martyr and the last farewell music.
The martyrs are:
-Sergeant Major Ammar Ali Junoud. A fourth –year law student. Born in Kadmous city in Tartous, 1980.
-Lieutenant Iyad Hasan Zeineddin. He was born in Najran village in Sweida, 1973. He left behind a wife and two daughters.
-Policeman Abdulaziz Jumaa was born in Hosh Arab in Damascus Countryside, 1979. He left behind a wife.
-Lieutenant Hatem Mahmoud Abboud from al-Shmiesah village in Hama. He left behind a wife and two children.
-Lieutenant Ra'ouf Nawaf Muslem. He was born in Jeb Ramleh village in Hama, 1980. He left behind a wife and two kids.
-Lieutenant Wardan Osman. He was born in Shatha village in Hama, 1986. He left behind a wife and a daughter.
-Lieutenant Malek Isper from As-Sneibleh village in Lattakia.
-Soldier Ghassan Abdel Karim Abboud. He was born in Saraqeb village in Idleb, 1991.
-Lieutenant Alaa Fayez Obeido. He was born in Ba'rin village in Hama, 1982.
-Corporal Wael Mohammed Jreass from al-Kahtaniya village in Hasaka.
-Soldier Zaradasht Hasan Touti. He was born in Aleppo city, 1992.
- Soldier Nidal Mohammed Mahmoud. He was born in Sankol village in Idleb, 1983.
-Soldier Basem Shibani from Jubar town in Damascus Countryside.
-Policeman Sameer Mohammad Salameh. He was born in Sheikh Bader in Tartous, 1983. He left behind a wife.
-Soldier Munaf Fouzi al-Saleh. He was born in Mayadin city in Deir Ezzor, 1990.
-Soldier Riyad Hassan al-Saleh. He was born in Raqqa City, 1991.
Father of martyr Iyad, who was laid to rest in Sweida province, said "My son scarified his life for the sake of the homeland security and national unity. He followed in the steps of his brother, martyr Kamal, who died in 1973 October War."
In Lattakia province, people of Bisnada district paid tribute to martyr Ammar Ali Janoud, who was killed in Daraa province.
"My brother was martyred today. We are all proud of his martyrdom for the sake of preserving our national unity," Ammar's sister said.
Shatha town in Hama province bid farewell to martyr Sgt. Wardan Suleiman Othman amid the mourners' stress to continue offering sacrifices for the sake of the homeland and preserving its immunity.
Dalia Ibrahim, the martyr's wife, expressed high pride of her husband who sacrificed his life for his country, stressing she will raise her two week old daughter on the love of the homeland and on martyrdom.
The policeman Abdulaziz Hussein Jumaa was escorted to his resting place in Hosh Arab town in Damascus Countryside.
"The martyrs are in God's care and protection. We are all at the service of the homeland," Jumaa's father said, asking God to give patience to the martyrs' families and help Syria get out of this critical situation stronger and safer.
Juber area in Damascus Countryside was on a date with martyrdom when its citizens escorted their martyr Basem Bassam Shibani to his final resting place amid cheering mourners who stressed that the martyr's blood will lighten their paths.
Holding up national flags and banners, the citizens of Mesyaf villages in Hama welcomed martyrs Alaa Fayez Obeido, Ra'ouf Nawaf Muslem and Hatem Mahmoud Abboud, chanting slogans stressing commitment to national unity and standing against attempts at undermining the country's stability.
Bashir, Ra'ouf's eldest brother, voiced his pride of his brother, stressing the importance of not tolerating the extremist terrorist groups which are killing innocent civilians and targeting the army and security forces.
Saraqeb village paid the last honors to martyr Ghassan Abdel Karim Abboud who was killed in the line of duty defending the dignity and freedom of the homeland.
In an official and popular procession, thousands of Sankol village in Idleb paid tribute to martyr Nidal Mohammad al-Mahmoud who was killed by the fire of the terrorist groups which targeted a number of his fellow soldiers.
Thousands of the people in Aleppo paid the last honors to soldier Zaradesht Hasan Touti who was martyred by the fire of the terrorist groups in Daraa to be buried in his home village of Sheikh al-Hadid in Efrein area.
Hasan Touti, father of the martyr, said "Despite the deep grief in our hearts, we feel proud of our son because the martyr's blood remains the epitome of sacrifice for the sake of the homeland." The village of Batahania in Tartous province also paid the last honors to martyr Samir Mohammad Salameh.
The martyr's mother stressed that Syria will always stand its ground in the face of its enemies. Martyr Malek Isper was laid to rest in al-Sneiblah village in Lattakia. His brother expressed pride of Malek's death who scarified himself for the sake of foiling the sabotage plot planned by the extremist and terrorist groups targeting Syria's security.
In Deir Ezzor province, the citizens of Mayadin escorted martyr Munaf al-Saleh to his final resting place in Zeiban town.
Soldier Riyad Hassan al-Saleh was laid to rest in Raqqa city. The martyr was killed by the fire of an extremist terrorist group while performing his duty in Daraa by a terrorist group in an ambush which targeted an army unit.
"The homeland needs its brave sons who are ready to defend it," the martyr's mother said.
