Damascus, (SANA)- The cabinet agreed in its weekly session on Tuesday to the introduction of a third mobile phone operator in a three-phase process including initial rehabilitation, investment and technical rehabilitation and the financial auction.

The cabinet also granted an initial approval on turning the contracts of the two current operators with Build-Operate-Transfer (B.O.T) system to licenses after they pay their financial obligations to public treasury.

Later, the cabinet approved a draft law ratifying a cooperation agreement for news exchange signed between the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and Latin American News Agency (Prensa Latina).

The cabinet reviewed the meeting minutes of the Syrian-Lebanese Committee on developing the land border posts between the two countries.
