Damascus, (SANA) – Minister of Endowments Mohammad Abdelsattar al-Sayyed and Archbishop of Jerusalem in exile Hilarion Capucci affirmed on Tuesday that the Israeli attacks against worshippers at the Noble Sanctuary in Jerusalem call for immediate action in order to preserve the sanctity of al-Aqsa Mosque.
During their meeting, al-Sayyed and Capucci discussed the difficult situation in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of the constant Israeli aggression against sanctities and places of worship, policy of settlement, and plans to Judaize and seize Jerusalem in defiance of international legitimacy resolutions and international law.
For his part, Archbishop Capucci lauded the Syria's national stances and continuous defense of the Palestinian cause and sanctities, praising Syria's efforts to lift the injustice and suffering imposed on the Palestinian people and its support of the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
