Damascus,SANA_Syria condemned on Friday the Israeli crime of storming into al-Aqsa Mosque and attacking worshippers inside, considering it as part of a series of Israeli measures aiming at judaizing Jerusalem.

A Foreign Ministry official source said, in a statement, ''The desecration of Arab and Islamic sanctities comes at a time when the majority of the Arab League Council's members adopted the indirect Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and this is an extra evidence on Israel's non-seriousness about peace as verified by today's events,''

''This is also a breach of the international law and a blatant provocation to the feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims, and a proof of the Israeli anti-peace policy that aims at liquidating the Palestinian cause,'' the source added.
