Damascus, (SANA)-Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Otri has underlined the importance of saving domestic products from drowning, supporting domestic industry, applying strict measures in verifying the certificates of origin for imported products and laying out regulations for importing them.

During a Cabinet session on Tuesday, Otri called upon the economic committee in coordination with Ministries of Industry, Economy and Trade to study the appropriate mechanisms to combat the drowning cases in the market.

Later, the Cabinet approved a number of bills enlisted on its agenda. The cabinet listened to a political review by Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem on the current events and regional developments.
