Damascus, (SANA) –

Committee for supporting the freed prisoners and detainees in the occupied Syrian Golan and Committee for the Defense of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails staged on Monday a sit-in outside the headquarters of the International Red Cross committee in Damascus in solidarity with Arab prisoners who are suffering in the prisons of the Israeli occupation forces of oppression and brutality.

Chairman of the Committee to Support the freed prisoners and Syrian detainees in Israeli jails Ali Younes handed a statement to the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross about the suffering of the Arab prisoners and their tragic situations and the chronic diseases they are suffering from.

In a statement to SANA, Younes said, "We will convey the situations of our prisoners in the occupation jails to the international community calling on it to intervene and put pressure on Israel to free the Arab prisoners.
