Damascus, (SANA) – Rector of Damascus University Wael Mualla and Head of EU's Tempus Unit Klaus Haupt reviewed the projects which Damascus University carried out in cooperation with Tempus program and means of improving the cadres' skills and abilities.

Talks dealt with projects funded by the EU to create educational programs meeting international accreditation standards and to develop Skills and Employment centers at public and private universities in Syria.

In the same context, Moalla and Director of Middle East and North Africa at the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation Cindi Warren Mentz agreed on enhancing scientific cooperation.

The two sides discussed measures taken to establish joint research and graduate programs in sustainable agriculture in cooperation with International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
