Syria Takes Part in Istanbul Tourism Exhibition (EMIT)

Damascus, (SANA)-Syria takes part in the 14th International Eastern Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition to be held in the Turkish city of Istanbul from February 11th to 14th , with 3500 participants from 60 countries.
Director of Tourist Development and Marketing at the Tourism Ministry Bassam Barsik said Syria takes part in the exhibition with a big pavilion that reflects Syria's tourist peculiarities.
''It includes photos of Syria and models of traditional industries and folklore shows,'' he added.
In a statement to SANA, Barsik said that the exhibition allows tourist bureaus to exhibit their programs and meet Turkish tourist bureaus to sign bilateral agreements to promote tourism between the two countries.
He added Syria will launch Syria's Days following the exhibition in cooperation with the Turkish Justice and Development Party, including a photo exhibition of Syria's archeological sites, an exhibition of handcraft and tourist investment opportunities, among other activities.
Syria took part in the exhibition last year and won the prize of the best and most genuine.
