Damascus, (SANA) – Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Husni Lutfi said on Monday that the Syrian government is adopting the modernization of administrative and establishment work at Ministries and working to modernize legislations to meet expectations.
During a workshop on occasion of receiving the computer programs project at the General Establishment of Internal Trade of Metals and Construction Materials, Dr. Lutfi underlined the government's efforts to overcome obstacles through amending decrees in order to achieve the desired economic revenue from some of the establishments of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
He also pointed out to the importance of laws such as the consumer protection, antitrust, food safety and export laws.
For his part, Minister of Communications and Technology Dr. Imad Sabouni noted that the government is reconsidering the contracting system between state and private parties as part of the process of modernization and development, stressing that the main goal is guaranteeing the success of projects.
Participants in the workshop said that computerization is the culture of the age, which makes computerizing companies a natural thing. They also gave a demonstration showcasing the importance of the computer programs project and its uses.
