Damascus, (SANA) – Advisor to the Islamic Movement for Jerusalem Affairs Sheikh Ali Abu Sheikha said Monday that Israeli occupation's aggressive practices against al-Aqsa continued in different forms the last of which was hearing explosions around the mosque, the ongoing excavation works beneath in addition to desecration of its holiness by Israeli settlers, harassing of the people there and erecting barriers to prevent worshipers from entering.
In an interview broadcast by al- Aqsa satellite channel, Abu Sheikha warned of the possible collapse of al-Aqsa Mosque after fissures have appeared in the nearby homes and the central square of the mosque calling upon all Arab and Islamic countries and organizations to support Jerusalem and protect al-Aqsa from this aggressive Israeli onslaught.
He stressed the people of Jerusalem insistence on protecting al-Aqsa through organizing daily flags march which mobilizes hundreds of Palestinians to come to the mosque to face occupation police and settlers' violations.
