Damascus, SANA_ Our armed forces with its different land, air and maritime units on Sunday celebrated the 46th anniversary of 8th March Revolution which came as an expression of our people's aspirations in building a free and advanced society .

 Photos of President Bashar al-Assad, Syrian flags and banners decorated the military sites where military parades as well sports competitions held to commemorate the anniversary. The army leaders met fighters in mass rallies to talk about the revolution achievements at all levels .

The army leaders talked about March Revolution, our forces' fighting competence and the building process in Syria under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad who stands steadfast in front of the imperialism and Zionist schemes against our nation .

They indicated that the current developments in the region confirmed the right course that Syria follows in supporting the resistance, stressing that Syria's policy still stands on strong base of adhering to firm principles and rights .

They also congratulated the national resistance for its victory in Gaza as it did in Lebanon and overthrew all bets.

On this occasion, the memorial of unknown soldier in Qassyon opened for visitors.
