Damascus, (SANA)- Vice President Farouk al-Shara discussed Tuesday with the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy in European Union (EU) Javier Solana the latest developments in the region and the efforts exerted to put an end to the Israeli aggression and lift the siege on Gaza.

The Syrian-European relations and aspects of developing them and the positive results of the latest visit of EU External Relation Commissioner to Syria Beneta Fererro Waldner were also discussed.
