President al-Assad discusses with Sarkozy, Emir of Qatar and Erdogan immediate move to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza

DAMASCUS, (SANA)-President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday received a telephone call from French President Nicolas Sarkozy on the dangerous and painful situation in Gaza.

During the phone call, the two Presidents tackled the basic principles disused by them about means of reaching an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression and cease-fire, withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza and lift the siege.

In this regard, President al-Assad made two telephone calls with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyeb Erdogan on the necessity of adopting immediate move to stop the Israeli brutal aggression and crimes perpetrated against the civilians in Gaza.
