Damascus, SANA _ President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday, during a phone call with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, reviewed the grave situation in Gaza Strip due to the continued Israeli aggression and the crimes committed by Israel against children, women and men and the deliberate destruction of infrastructure of schools, mosques, universities and hospitals.

President al-Assad called on President Medvedev to enhance the international moves to pressure Israel to stop the massacres against the Palestinian people, break the siege on the Gaza Strip and open the crossings to put an end to the suffering of people who are suffering under the ugly occupation that violates all the charters, laws and international agreements every day.
