Palmyra, central Syria (SANA)- Italian motorcycle traveler Simon Chericato arrived in the Syria central ancient city of Palmyra on Sunday as part of an international tour in which he visited Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo and Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey down to Syria.  

The Italian motorcyclist, who works in electronic press, told SANA staff writer during his stop in Palmyra, voiced pleasure over the assistance offered to him by the Syrian people on highways.

Chericato, who drives 400 km each day, described the ancient city of Palmyra and its well-known archeological sites and fabulous nights as the most beautiful place he had ever seen in the world.

The Italian traveler has been gathering information about Syria and its people and history to publish them on special websites.
