DAMASCUS,(SANA)-President Bashar al-Assad sent on Thursday a congratulation cable to Chairman of Peace and Development State Council of the Union of Myanmar General Than Shwe on the occasion of Myanmar independence day .
In his cable President al-Assad expressed sincere congratulations and wishes to the General Than Shwe and the friendly people of Myanmar.
