QUNEITRA, (SANA)- After being delayed by the Israeli occupation forces for more than four days, 600 Syrian citizens from occupied Golan, including 275 women, on Thursday arrived in the liberated city of Quneitra on a visit to their motherland.
It has been more than four decades for some of the visiting delegation members since they last saw their families and relatives.
Hussein Arnous, Governor of Quneitra, said the occupation forces' attempts to mess with the Golan citizens' feelings through delaying their visit did not deter them from their national stances and belonging to their Homeland Syria.
He pointed out that the governorate has prepared all the necessary arrangements to receive and host the delegation whether in Quneitra province or in the other Syrian provinces they intend to visit.

The Governor saluted the sacrifices of the Golan people and their struggle in defending the land in spite of the destruction and killing tools of the occupation which is trying to undermine their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity.
Freed prisoner, Fouad al-Shaer, stressed during the celebration, which was held on the threshold of the occupied Syrian Golan in al-Quneitera city, that the Golan people are committed to their Syrian Arab identity and their land and steadfastness in face of the Israeli occupation.
Father of the freed prisoner Atta Allah Farhat called on countries of the world and human rights organizations to consider the oppression the Golan people are suffering from under the Israeli occupation.
For his part, Sheikh Asaad Qudmani said this is his third visit to the homeland, considering each of his visits as a festival for him.
The delegation visited the October Liberation War Panorama and listened to an explanation of its sections and dioramic scenes which represent the bravery of the Syrian Arab army.
