Aleppo Governor, UNICEF discuss joint cooperation

Aleppo, SANA-Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan al-Olabi discussed on Monday with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund ( UNICEF)  in Syria Hana Sinjer aspects of work, activities and joint programs aiming at boosting the standing cooperation between Syria and the international organization.

The governor affirmed government’s commitment to deliver humanitarian, health aid and services to all regions, pointing out the efforts being exerted to transport the affected families who live in the general hospitals and schools into substitute places.

Singer, for her part, appreciated the support and facilitations offered by Aleppo governorate to have the plans and programs of UNICEF succeed, saying that the work plan of the organization includes rehabilitating 60 schools during the current year, establishing 100 pre-made classes in addition to the great attention UNICEF pays to the psychological side of the children.

In a relevant context, Singer said in a statement that UNICEF participates in a humanitarian aid convoy with other UN organizations to target all children in Syria.

She added the convoy targets 15000 families through delivering them with food and health packages.
