Minister of Economy: Doors open for Syrian industrialists willing to return home

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Khodr Orfali said the government is keenly interested in re-operating establishments which had been damaged due to terrorist attacks.

The minister’s comments came during a tour of industrial establishments in Hawsh Blass and the vicinity of Daraa Highway in Damascus countryside.

The minister said the government is backing the industrial development process, especially industries that have a big role in exportation.

A take-off in the production process would bring about more facilitations to producers and exporters, he said.

The minister vowed that “doors will remain open for all industrialists who departed Syria during the crisis to return.”

Governor of Damascus countryside Hussain Makhlouf said the ministry is ready to rebuild infrastructure for damaged establishments to come on stream again.

Hawsh Blass hosts 700 damaged establishments that need maintenance and infrastructure.
