President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad inspect conditions of injured affected by earthquake and ongoing rescue operations in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad inspected conditions of people affected by earthquake in Aleppo province and ongoing rescue operations in several areas.

President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad visited Aleppo University Hospital to get assured about the injured and those affected by the earthquake, and listened to their needs.

The medical staff briefed President al-Assad and Mrs. Asma al-Assad on the medical support provided to the injured and the challenges they faced in the earthquake’s unprecedented ordeal.

Addressing the doctors and staff working in the hospital, President al-Assad said “We are proud of the national cadres in crises, and in the earthquake crisis, we have seen a lot of heroism and the doctors are part of these heroism, and what we heard from the patients who have high spirits indicates that you have fulfilled your duty, and this is patriotism and heroism.”

President al-Assad also inspected the ongoing rescue operations and removal of rubble in al-Masharqa neighborhood, Aleppo.

Speaking to the media outlets at one of the sites of removing rubble and pulling out the injured, President al-Assad said that “It is said that the West has given priority to politics over the humanitarian situation, this is incorrect, in order to give priority to one situation over another, both cases must exist. The political situation exists, but the human condition does not exist in the West.”

President added that politicizing the situation is the natural thing and the human feeling is neither now nor in the past, neither during nor after modern colonialism nor before, as colonialism is based on the killing, theft and looting of peoples for 600 years.
