Mikdad discusses with Palestinian, Armenian, Nicaraguan and Tunisian counterparts relations and developments

New York, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad, met Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Maliki who briefed him on violations carried out by “Israeli” against the Palestinian people and the inhuman blockade imposed on them.

Mikdad affirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain the core issue for the Arab people, saying Syria still supports the Palestinian people in their struggle against occupation, self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem and its capital.

Later, Minister Mikdad discussed with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, the friendly and historic relations between Syria and Armenia, stressing the importance of enhancing ties in the interest of both peoples.

The two Ministers agreed to continue coordination and communication at international forums.

In the same context, Mikdad discussed with Nicaraguan counterpart,  Denis Moncada Colindres, the attempts of foreign intervention in the domestic affairs of some Latin American countries as viewpoints had an agreement on the necessity of facing western hegemony policies.

Both Ministers showed determination to boost solidarity and coordination between the two countries to defend the just causes of their peoples.

Minister Mikdad also held talks with Tunisian counterpart, Othman Jerandi on the latest developments in Tunisia.

Mikdad was confident that the Tunisian people and leadership are able to overcome all difficulties to which the country is passing through.

The two sides underlined the need to continue commination in the interest of both peoples.
