Mikdad to Palestinian Deputy PM: Our mutual struggle against US and Israeli policies will restore our rights

Damascus, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad received on Sunday Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr.

The Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister expressed pride in visiting Syria which he considered the symbol of the Arab struggle and the pillar that supports the Palestinian cause and Arab nation.

Abu Amr said that the Palestinian people support Syria, its army, people, and leadership with all their emotions, hopes, and affiliation.

He added that US and Israeli aggression targets both Syria and Palestine, and that the two countries share a unity of struggle and mutual challenges.

He pointed out that Syria has grown stronger because it waged a battle against terrorism which is given unlimited support by Western powers, affirming that Syria will recover and reclaim its significant position in the Arab nation.

For his part, Mikdad reaffirmed the stance of the Syrian leadership and people in support of the Palestinian cause and the legal rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right to return and to establish an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

Mikdad condemned the “deal of century” and the Israeli annexation plans, which are a consecration of the colonial expansionist approach of the Israeli entity and the US.

He added that the Syrian-Palestinian mutual struggle against US and Israeli policies in the occupied Syrian Golan and Palestinian territories will restore rights away from the policies of subservience to the American administration and its tools.

In a press conference, Palestinian deputy Prime Minister announced that he relayed a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to President Bashar al-Assad, and that the message is related to the Palestinian situation, the continuing US-Israeli aggression against the Palestinian cause, and the absolute Palestinian rejection of the “deal of the century” and the Israeli annexation plans.
