A telephone call between Arnous and Jahangiri on strengthening Syrian –Iranian relations in face of unjust Western measures

Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous on Thursday received a telephone  call from Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri during which he congratulated Arnous for assuming his new post as a Prime Minister.

Jahangiri voiced confidence in continuation of work to strengthen the distinguished relations between Syria and Iran, especially economic ones in the face of the unjust Western measures and sanctions to which the Syrian and Iranian peoples are exposed, wishing Arnous success in his new mission.

For his part, Arnous underlined that work is continuing to bolster the Syria-Iranian relations which represent a role model in the international relations, expressing appreciation over the Iranian stance in supporting Syria’s government and people in light of blockade and sanctions.

The telephone call also dealt with expanding economic cooperation between the two countries to serve the interest of the two countries and peoples.
