Damascus, SANA – The Ministry of Industry said that the 9th session of the Syrian-Russian Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation has reflected the understanding and harmony between the two countries and will contribute to further enhancing the cooperation in the industrial field.

In a memo circulated on Sunday, the Ministry said it is keen to cooperate with Russia particularly in the field of manufacturing medicine, especially chemical ones, adding that the Russian side has promised to study the project and recommend the appropriate firm to this end.

The Ministry said a project to make about 50 thousand tons of animals feed materials is being discussed currently along with a number of projects of mutual benefits.

The activities of the 9th session have been held in Russia’s city of Sochi on October 24th. The two sides signed a protocol that included an agreement on providing customs facilitations and a memo of understanding between the Syrian Economy Ministry and the Russian Economic Development Ministry.
