Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh affirmed during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Mun Jong Nam the deep-rooted historical ties between the two friendly peoples.

The Speaker hailed the DPRK’s stances towards the Syrian people and stressed the need to develop and strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the People’s Assembly of Syria and the Supreme People’s Assembly in DPRK.

The Ambassador, in turn, said that the relations between the two countries reached advanced stages and are based on strong and solid foundations, lauding the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in fighting terrorism.
