Ministerial delegation continues tour in Tartous, visitsArwad Island

Tartous, SANA – The ministerial delegation continued its field tour in Tartous province for the third day in a row.

The third day’s activities included visiting the sites for building the dam in Qanyyee in Brummanet al-Mashayekh and the industrial zone project, as well as al-Taleh forest, al-Sourani Dam in Sheikh Badr, and Arwad Island.

Transport Minister Ali Hammoud told journalists that steps have been taken to improve the state of al-Taleh forest with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, adding that SYP 500,000,000 will be allocated by the Transport Ministry to complete development projects in Sheikh Badr area.

During the visit to Arwad Island, Hammoud said the reason behind visiting the island is to inspect its current situation and provide all that is necessary for its development.

The Minister also approved the request by the Governor of Tartous to allocate SYP 75 million for development projects in Arwad Island.
