Iran, Syria discuss enhancing cooperation in health sector

Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazigi discussed with Iranian Ambassador to Syria Jawad Turk Abadi the possibilities of promoting health cooperation between the two countries and implementing the agreements signed in this field.

Yazigi expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide all possible facilitations to enhance cooperation with the Iranian side, especially in the field of exchanging expertise and providing medicines and medical equipment.

The Minister highlighted the positions of the Iranian government and people towards the Syrians in the face of the terrorist war, offering condolences to the families of the victims of the two terrorist attacks which took place in Iran recently.

For his part, Turk Abadi expressed his country’s desire to activate the agreements signed with Syria in the field of health cooperation in the interest of the people of both sides.
